I have fallen behind the times in the realm of video games. Oh sure, I've been an avid WoW player for many months now, and I even dipped into a little of LOTRO. But as far as what's hip and now, I haven't even scratched the surface. I don't own (nor have I ever even played) a 360, or the Wii. I did get a chance to play a demo of some game on a PS3 at Best Buy one time, and while the graphics were incredible, I found nothing else really phenominal about the system. This is not to say that I wouldn't jump at the chance to catch up. It would certainly be a marathon of sorts, with all the games I have on my list that are waiting to be played. I just haven't had the $$ or the time to devote to my hobby as of late. There are however, a few games on the horizon, that have already have a spot reserved within my short attention span.
StarCraft 2 for one, om-friggin-g. If you haven't already seen the cinematic and the gameplay video, do yourself a favor and go check it out.
Spore is another gem that is quite some time away, but certainly worth waiting for. This is another brainchild of that remarkable genius Will Wright. Unfortunately, Starcraft 2 has no release date, and as for Spore, we'll have to wait until sometime in early 08. Oh well, there's plenty of other games to try between now and then.
