Today may have been my last day at work pre-maternity leave. Tomorrow is my due date, which I'm taking off due to an inconveniently timed midwife appointment in the middle of the day regardless of whether anything is happening in the baby expulsion department or not. Just so everybody who was worried about my poor paper-cutted eyeball knows, I woke up this morning feeling completely healed and with vision fully intact. There are about 250 drunk people milling around on the corner outside the building where I work. In front of a bar that was open and doing brisk business when I got in to work at 8 a.m. this morning.
