But he also knows this is a slippery slope-- again, the affinity with Sera comes into this. He is fairly certain Sera is also familiar with the concept of being somewhat fictional, considering their previous talks and his somewhat rough knowledge about her game (my headcanon is he played it a while a go and played much more since so he only vaguely remembers it, to... excuse my lack of playing it). On top of that, he is very familiar with how his programmed world got fucked up because of people's stupid decisions on how to manage things. Part of why he, as an AI, wants to learn how to program and manage things himself is to avoid that. The characters are people to him! He is merely learning to program, perhaps even learning to create people, in order to give them a life worth living. They literally are no longer characters to him-- no body is merely characters to him anymore. And while creating a game himself, full of difficulty and death, is a bit too raw for Kazuki right now, and hits a bit too close to home much like with Sera, I think he is coming around to understanding the programmed world and the life of a person, and that diffficulties in life (including death) are necessary a bit better. Especially within himself, and his own "death".
Basically, he will be back to playing his games in no time. And perhaps even creating characters in further once he feels ready enough for it, thuogh he might actually ask Sera for advice for that first.
