Could it be? . . .

I saw Atem and Malik being carried through the castle and I have a bad feeling that something happened and more is yet to come. Sam has been a tremendous help in keeping me from going over the edge when it comes to my senses. I felt a heavy feeling in my heart lifted when Zigfried touched Malik and the same was for Atem.

Let me start this from the beginning.

At the start of the party, there was a sense of dread filling the large ballroom. The marble walls seemed to have taken on a more eerie appearance than the pristine white and cream. Evil had presented itself. Then the changeling appeared, which we didn't know at the time what form it took. All I could sense was that it wanted just to get close to Zigfried. The poor creature. I felt something forlorn, yet oddly aware that it knew what it was doing, but now it's gone.

Then when Malik and Zigfried left to talk on the balcony, something sinister was emerging. Zigfried was defending the honor of his family, his friends and his love. He mentioned that Raphael still had his heart but he would never betray one for the other. Zigfried's noble spirit drives him to be loved by his people and that's his purpose. He would have been a great king if it were a monarchy. He and Atem make an excellent pair indeed, if not by spirit, but by nobility and the ability to do the right thing. I wish them both the best.

Malik feel victim to his own mind again for the third time. Hate became Mariku, Rage was vanquished and Despair is no more. Dartz must be getting tired of running around in that boy's head. *chuckles* Honestly, it could have been much worse. Zigfried could have died that night.

Something interesting has happened to him and I must say, it's refreshing to see that his mind is still intact. Zigfried, I feel, is going to be one hell of an empath. Not only can he sense spirits already, he can now feel the emotions of people around him. Now all he needs is the proper training and I think Atem is just the person to teach him. My sense lies in the ability to feel danger, and nothing more.

Zigfried carried Malik to his room and Atem was carried by his body guard, Franz. It should have been the other way around, but I believe Zigfried has his reasons to choose to do so. Both Atem and Malik's room have been temporarily moved to opposite sides of Zigfried's. The reason, to be near them both. I feel that this is an odd arrangement, but a necessary one. Now that the danger has passed, Zigfried was seen at the same balcony from whence he fell and looks deep in contemplation. Perhaps he's trying to find out what went wrong. He hasn't said a word to me since he left.
