London Expo day 2
Finally! The long awaiting (pfft XD) day 2 of the London Expo 2007 ^_^
Well for starters, we were HOPING to get there for 11am, we planned on getting up at 8.30...but kim came down and woke me up at what I thought was 8.30.. turns out it was well after 9 so..yeah we ended up getting there pretty late XD in fact we got there for some time after 12.30pm, I didnt care that we were a bit late, I just didn't want to miss Vic's Sunday panel ^_^; we also ended up getting on the wrong train at one point and ended up going towards George V and had to get the train back before getting yet another one to the expo.. -_-
But anyway we finally got in, and had maybe 30minute to look around and see if anything was new from the previous day, and went into the Anime stage for about 1.15pm, we got there a bit TOO early though, as they were about to show an episode of Spiral, of which I've only seen the first episode but we stayed anyway 'cause they asked us whether to show it in english or jap, most shouted english because vic was in it...though he barely had like 2 lines in it XD and so we watched it but couldn't hear the half of it due to the robot wars fighters near the stage -_-, but anyway, it soon finished and in popped Vic along with Spike Spencer from before, along with another guy called Bobby something..he does voices for final fantasy characters and stuff, though I don't think many in the room knew him at all, most just focused on vic XD OHOH, this time Kim and I were in the 2nd row from the front O_O some people got up and left after the Spiral episode, and we sneaked to the 2nd front row when they left so yay for good views!
Again most of the panel is up on youtube and under kims usual name, she put the best parts up so I'm not gonna go through the entire panel ^_^; however this time when it finished, we got up and went out one side..the same side Vic was walking up and stopped to let some girls take photos, so as I was almost right next to him Kim went to take a picture, he spotted her and started posing:
"Donna you get next to him so I can take your picture."
"But you need to get one with him too =/"
"But you wanna do it more than me."
"I know but.."
Vic: "Hey, tell ya what, why don't you give your camera to her (his g/f) and you'll both be in the picture. ^_^"
O_O Kim gave Michelle her camera then Vic happily put his arm around me and Kim.., poor Kim however went stiff, she hates this sort of thing and preferred to run away XD she didn't even wanna put her arm around him incase she accidently touched his backside, and settled for putting her hand on my arm instead XD and so with his arm around both of us we got a wuvly picture of Vic Mignogna between us ^___^
I thanked him and said we'd see him at his signing, to which he replied great see ya there!
And so, with a majorly embarrassed Kim we went round the stalls again for a short time before deciding to wait in line for Vic since the queue was already beginning to form, we also picked up tickets early this time for the cosplay show a bit later, seeing as how we missed it on the Saturday.
Eventually we went to go wait in line for him, Kim this time however wanted something for Vic to sign, and so she left me in the queue saving her place while she went to go look for the perfect FMA poster for him to sign, she wanted the same poster I picked up the day before, one of Ed being trampled by alexander XD but alas there were none left, so she went looking for a wallscroll instead and came out with a cool FMA one. Though it would've been weird I guess if she wanted him to sign a Chobits of Wolf's rain one which is what she originally wanted to look for, seeing as how he was in neither show so she made the right choice ^_^ eventually he showed up, we only knew 'cause of the huge cheers that followed whenever he appeared XD and we didn't wait too long either, they also had a trailer of the FMA movie showing while we waited too, cool stuff ^_^
Finally our turn came, you know that pose you do when you take a mental picture of something? Like made your hands into a square shape in front of your face? Well he did that when he spotted us next, which meant he remembered us from before XD, I had nothing on me for him to sign so I asked for a normal autograph on a pile of these Alphonse pictures he had sitting, and this time he also asked my name, so it's got:
"<3 To Donna! Vic Mignogna -Ed-" on it ^___^
Kim then showed him the wallscroll to which he went wow thats awesome! It was a pretty cool picture after all, and he signed it happily for her in a lovely silver marker o_o and she also passed on a message from Greggo that he said hi, he was like "ohh wow Greggo?" so yay, we now have a mutual friend of Vic Mignogna, always a good thing XD
This time however we had no time to go search the stalls and just went straight into the cosplay show for a seat...but turns out we weren't supposed to enter from where we thought, we were told to go uotside the Expo to a certain door and queue up there, and so outside we went...
and walked..
and walked..
and walked..
my god the queue was freakin' huge O_O how long had these people been sitting out here? Some were having picnics and stuff, god knows if they'd queued for hours or not, anyway we *eventually* found the end of the queue and thought we'd sit down too, 'lo and behold however we only sat for like 1 minute before the queue started moving inside o_o; this was also the first time we'd been inside the Main Stage, and it was HUGE, hundreds of seats at least so we got a seat somewhere in the middle so not too bad a view.
The show started, from what I had seen on youtube I expected everyone who came out to do some sort of skit to win a prize, but most of them just came on, twirled, then walked off o.o the first was a little girl who was Chihiro from Spirited Away, she looked really nervous too...a random dalek came on too, the poor guy inside didnt move once he got on stage, just sat there for 2 minutes then walked off XD there was a Lara Croft, a couple of Naruto skits..one with no microphones switched on, oh and also a group from Yu-Gi-Oh...also with no microphones switched on which kinda sucked -_- then however...a group from Tales of Symphonia came on!! Forgetting they now have an anime I didn't expect to see them!
Me: Ooo kim please please get this on video!!

They didn't do a skit though, just again walked on, posed for a bit then walked off, they were pretty cool though, anyway loads more came and went, again the whole thing is on youtube, one guy also came on as Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat...and started back-flipping and doing all these awesome moves o_o and he won first prize too! Well deserved XD
The show was on for a little over an hour..during which a few announcements came over about making your final purchase now, but there was nothing we could do, we just stayed there to watch the rest, then when it ended we were told we were gonna be herded out like animals as we were not allowed to brosw stalls again -_- but as we passed the TokyoToys stalls there was a guy there selling the rest of his pocky at half price...the same bloody guy who we thought was our waiter at the pizza place! Random XD so I picked up a few boxes and we headed out for the last time, with fond memories behind us ^_^ even Kim said she really enjoyed it even though at the beginning she stated she wasn't as excited about it as me...now she want's to cosplay for next year o_o;;
Went on about 3-4 trains back home, all the while still in my Ed outfit as I didnt bring anything to change into ^_^; but it didnt bother me at all XD got home at a decent time and watched more Back to the Future II and III with the first meal I'd had in 24 hours ^_^; who knew that you could forget food completely when you're having such a good time? XD
