Dream's Office Hours, 4/05

The professor has been in his office all afternoon, strangely mesmerized by the sight of lemurs attempting a country line dance.

He pulls a wee cowboy hat from the Dreaming and tosses it to the lead lemur.

Elizabeth knocked on the door, stepping over another lemur outside in the corridor.

Dream jerked his head up. "Come in, Miss Weir," he called.

"Good afternoon, Professor," Elizabeth said as she entered his office.

//Good afternoon,// Dream said, speaking in Arabic. "How do your studies progress?"

[notcalledlizzie]

"Slowly," Elizabeth admitted. "I think I've just about got the hang of the alphabet."

"It is a hard language, for speakers of English," Dream said thoughtfully. "I may have something to help you."

He went to his bookshelves for a moment and turned around with a brightly-colored children's book. "Perhaps this might help you somewhat."

Elizabeth looked down at the book and smiled. "It's certainly worth a try," she said. "I've read a number of children's books when learning other languages."

"Read that and write a brief report on it, and we will discuss it next week," Dream said.

[notcalledlizzie]

Elizabeth nodded. "Yes, sir. Thank you, Professor. I'll see you in class tomorrow."

"I will see you then," Dream agreed.
