John enters and sits in one of the seats. He's vaguely uneasy. "Just wanted to know the status of my independant study."

He's not bringing up the dreams, yet.

John handwavey mentioned the languages he was interested in, and the one he wanted to concentrate on.

((I forgot as well. Um. Binary/machine/programming language? Or, Russian, if that's more in line with Dream's expertise))

Dream listens. "I'm sorry, Mr. Connor. The drop-add period has been over for more than a week, so I would not be able to get you school credit on that."

"However, I have several books on the languages of machines, should you wish to study on your own. We could occasionally meet and discuss your progress."

John's face fell only slightly. "That's okay, I'm more interested in the language for personal reasons more than academic. It'll work for me, if you have the time."

John paused for a minute.

"Um, Professor? There's something I've been meaning to ask for a while."
