Yesterday we had rain, high winds, ice, and snow, so I got to stay home and supposedly 'work from home'. I did actually do some work. I analyzed the Canadian spend as much as I could given the limited files available to me. It was lovely to sit in my comfy chair and work while the bread was rising and the laundry tumbling. I might have to do that more often!
But today I'm back at work. Tomorrow I'll work a half day. That's all the work I have to do for the week. Then when we come back in January, it's nose to the grindstone!
Work
- Finish up on the Canada spend. I need to figure out which suppliers we share at other sites and refine the list of 'suppliers for which we have no backup'.
- Scope out the 505/506 sleeves project.
- Go through my action list of emails and knock some of them off.
- Find some more spring suppliers. I think I only ended up with one legitimate bid on this, although I have two quotes pending.
- I'm supposed to send my boss an update on progress.
Writing
- Post the MBU chapters we reached accord on this weekend.
- Write on that MBU doodle that's ballooned up to 5k words.
- The crack-fic is probably not going to be written. I'm much more committed to getting the doodle finished.
Goofing off
- I have a fruit tree book I'm really keen to get through. I'm on page 250 out of 350. I got it on Christmas. The chapters left are Pear, Plum, Quince, and Walnut. I can skim the last two because I don't have those kinds of trees. The others are important, though.
- I still need to do an annual review on my personal financials, the year in review, and my resolutions/goals for next year.
