Three lovely Heroes fanfics
For the past couple months, I've been reading through three very nice, very lengthy Heroes fanfics. I thought I'd share, in case anyone else wants a blast from the past and has a lot of free time over the holiday break.

I wish this could be the prequel to Shattered Salvation! I love Petrellicest and I adore how the author captured the fucked-up-ed-ness of their relationship, start to finish, along with the obsession, the love, the passion, and the supportiveness. There's so much push-pull, yin-yang going on between these two that they're an endless source of dramatic scenes. I could ramble on about how incredible I found this story to be, but I'll just say I highly recommend it for anyone who liked Shattered Salvation, or who likes Petrellicest. Also, this is one huge story. I don't know the word count, but I figure it's around 500-800k.

Finding Eden by sinemoras09
This is set in modern time like canon, except powers are almost never a part of the story. There are liberal hints towards abilities, but you could just as easily read it without the existence of abilities at all. This was a Nanowrimo project and as such, is some 50-60k words long.

Trick or Treat? by albion1919
This is set in the 1860s. While Eden has her ability, Gabriel's never comes up (except as high intelligence/intuition and engineering skill). Over the course of the story, it becomes clear that other people with abilities are out there, but few take up much screen time in the story. I believe this was another Nanowrimo project, about the same 50-60k long (don't be fooled by the '7 chapters' you see when you click on chapter 1!).
