This is so sickly sweet, I don't know what to say about it. I keep coming back to read it and go, "Aww…" with a sigh.

I love Peter singing to himself his little motto or anthem. Changing the song just because is creative of him, even if it's for his own amusement, singing it for himself to keep his spirits up and keep his dreams alive. Peter playing music and singing to himself is sweet anyway - I like the image of it.

Sylar adds a different, hilarious tone (for me, anyway): "So this is what Peter does when I leave him to his own devices for too long" with a disparaging fondness. I suspect he's more touched than he lets on, even to himself. It gives him hope, perhaps. He admits it's sweet and cute and that Peter hasn't earned being scared to death today, so he plays nice.

Thank you!

I was driving down the road with my kids, listening to music instead of Game of Thrones audiobook because they were in the car, and this was where my mind went.

Peter knows he's a dreamer and he's at peace with that, even knowing that most of the other people in his life aren't. It's something Sylar will have to be at peace with, too, and I think he's okay with that.
