You should be pestering me, yeah, about the MBU drabble. I wanted to get the above "out" and it took me all of an hour to write, reread, and post. I overexerted myself pulling weeds this evening or I'd have more to say.

Alright - I'm not feeling so punchy tonight. My hands are blistered, but my shoulder seems okay and typing is no longer (quite as) painful.

That's an great question: 'why do you, Peter, care if I get hurt?' I imagine the answer is the same as it is for every stranger Peter cares for but...there's that tiny bit of doubt of 'maybe this is personal or deeper than that.'

Even if that is something Peter would feel for any stranger, that he feels that way towards Sylar is something Sylar finds remarkable. The guy should hate his guts, want to kill him, be consumed by plots and schemes of how to torture and punish Sylar if he can't blot him out entirely. That Peter has put aside vengeance means something personal and deeper just by itself.

I'm strangely glad you put in Sylar's unease around Peter. Peter was always more partial to the sneak attack and Peter's more confident in Sylar's world anyway, Sylar's still worried about being Haitian'd or having his mind wiped again. He'd be fine with being hit/hurt, fucked or killed, but that one I ( ... )
