This is HOT. I don't know why (I think it's because Peter gets turned on by it) but it is hot. Simple, slightly perverted but just enough UST/sexual tension that it's amped up ( ... )

Thank you so much for the comment! I don't think anyone in Heroes fandom gets many these days.

I think Peter just recognizing that he's not giving Sylar a fair shake is the first step, first of many, but a step in the right direction nonetheless.

I can very much see drunk!Sylar sitting on the couch feeling up Peter and diving into the sensuality. The 'you're okay' fits my imagination as the sort of loose, relaxed compliment that would slip out when tipsy and happy.

I have a mental representation of how Peter smells, too! And Sylar. But no vocabulary to describe it. Male, warm, Sylar's smell is darker/sharper/spicier than Peter's, which is a bit more mellow/glowy/soothing. And yes, Peter's smell is one you want to roll in and wrap yourself up in. Sylar's is more tantalizing, provoking, more testosterone-laden. Sylar's smell is growing on MBU Peter as he gets more associations than just 'guy who killed me a couple times and tried a couple others'.

The rewatch gives me these great lines like Claude's!

I feel dumb - I don't think I've ever considered Sylar's smell. I write for him so I guess the character doesn't know how they smell and they only need consider how the other person [Peter] smells. I'm more curious now what testosterone smells like - it's mostly in male sweat.

I agree that Sylar's darker/sharper/spicier than Peter but for me Peter is more masculine than 'mellow/glowy/soothing' just because he works out. Strange rationale, I know, but there it is. (As I have this conversation smelling bacon/meat in the house...)

Long live Claude!
