That's so sweet, it hurts.

Strangely (and this isn't the best association) but it reminds me of the story one of my cousins's then-fiancee, now-wife told about how my cousin proposed - in bed one morning (I got the impression they'd just woken up, too). Then I thought of the Season 5 episode of Big Bang where Leonard proposes to Penny mid-act, in bed. LOL!

The bed always struck me as a very...biased place to propose, but that's just me.

I like how Peter takes it at face-value first, then slowly realizes what that means but he's still okay with it either way Sylar means it....Hey...interesting that its SYLAR doing the proposing, not Gabriel. ::head spins:: I must consider that now...Wait, inside the Wall?! Whoa! Just...Whoa!

In my head, this is like the first or second morning they sleep together romantically, and Sylar blurts it out as a genuine statement of feeling (rare, I know). He doesn't mean it as a proposal exactly - although he does mean it. He means, 'this is fantastic, you're fantastic, I want to do this again and again forever, please let me?'

But then it's out there in the air between them and they both hear how it sounds. Peter thinks about it and decides, 'yeah, that's okay.'

My first version of this had Sylar initiating the hug, but it didn't feel right. It felt like he'd be hesitant, still processing what it meant that Peter had said yes. So I flipped it.
