So great! This is such a well written, well described, "realistic" scene. It would make a great opener for a series, too. Not that I am encouraging you to write a long Daniel story, I'm just saying. It makes me wish he was still alive though...

I wish he was still alive, too. A series like Heroes offers such a dilemma - I want characters a I care about to survive, but at the same time I love the intensity of the drama that comes from one occasionally getting offed.
