Your ex developed mental something alright...If I may say.

Dude, you have no idea how cool it is to hear and see that (from you and canon). I don't see that much usually (if that doesn't sound like I'm bragging too much or something), so that's SO totally awesome that I'm doing it right.

I know! It totally makes me want to give Matt a hug. That doesn't happen often either.

See, I'm trying to get into writing that out, but...I don't have a topic for the boys to discuss. Maybe you can prompt me? I'd love that. I'm going with Sylar talking about his mom while he and Peter are drunk, Sylar talking about being a monster/not human or Sylar maybe talking about "Well, I've never kissed a guy..." and that leading to a homophobia/M-M discussion and I could work in some "highly regrettable things" :) Once I figure out the topic and direction, I want to write it out, I do. I tried and...nothing hit me. Yet.

Litearlly, Bennet sounded just like he did in S2 when they moved to California. "new Identity, you'll go do this school...keep it quiet. Nothing will go wrong..." yeah, right.

Day 13 is shaping up to be an emotional roller coaster and they haven't even gotten past lunch yet. :D So ... They continue their current conversation, with Sylar being upset, Peter being sympathetic, and Sylar thinking the sympathy is forced, mockery, whatever and getting irritable about it. Peter tries to be sincere and genuine and Sylar doesn't believe him. They have lunch, tensely. Maybe there's a blow up in here somewhere. Peter leaves. Sylar rethinks the wisdom of pissing off his caretaker/friend and decides he's better off playing along with Peter's delusions or pretenses or whatever. He finds the baseball and he gets some liquor. Peter returns for dinner. Sylar presents him with the presents. Touched by the baseball, Peter falls quiet and Sylar pours him a drink. And himself one. And asks Peter to tell him about Nathan - the guy who can't be here. That makes Peter tense. He drinks. He tells a little. It's an emotional subject. He drinks more. Sylar keeps refilling, thinking maybe it will help Peter to get this crap out or whatever. Pretty soon they're both drunk and Sylar's talking about the shitty and not-so-shitty birthdays he's had and the disturbing custom of getting spanked for each year. Somehow that bleeds over into asking Peter if he's ever gotten a birthday bj ...

Or the drunk could come much later in things. Similar conversation on Christmas, or New Year's Eve. Peter's not going to go get a drink on his own, so Sylar has to put it in front of him and then give him motivation to drink by dropping an emotional bomb.

Or maybe you're talking about hypothetical Wall interaction not connected to MBU? In which case, sure, I'll toss a prompt your way, give you a background situation/what's led up to where the characters start and explain how/why Peter got drunk and we can run from there. Let me know.

LOL. Nope, I meant a hypothetical Wall interaction not connected to MBU. I'd love to hear your prompts. Birthday bjs are a good start, too...

I had in mind Sylar just bringing over some booze and showing up fairly buzzed. Peter lets him in because he doesn't want Sylar breaking his neck on the stairs (or some excuse). Sylar eventually convinces Peter to drink...somehow. And honest conversation about XYZ subject occurs, which probably gets naughty or emotional somehow. Of course, that's not set in stone at all, but it's what I've got in mind so far. That'd be great it if could turn sexy. I blame you and Overdoze for that!

Don't you just love how I come in an commandeer these posts of yours? ;)

Yes, actually, I *do* love that! I've never understood people who get tetchy about tangents. This isn't a lecture hall where we have one topic of discussion and no other will be tolerated. I enjoy when people have something to say that I find interesting and if that's not the same as the starting topic then ... I don't really care. It's still interesting! And if people are having a conversation that's fascinating to them on my journal, then that's not really a big deal to me either, as long as they're not talking about something illegal, anathema, or that I might feel the need to later delete the thread to protect their privacy or whatever. It's not like they're drowning me out.

But back to the topic at hand! I'll need to think about that a bit, because the drunker Sylar is when he shows up, the more Peter will dig in his heels in refusal to join in. He has to be ... seduced into it. And I like to think that he's sharp enough to detect a 'let's get Peter drunk' ploy, even from Sylar, so I'm thinking it will have to be something spontaneous, or at least unintended.

Hmm...

You know, they could go to some really nice restaurant in the course of exploring, or just to go, or whatever, and Sylar could point out the wall of different wines and explain that he'd always wondered if wine was really worth the money. Now he'd know from Nathan's memories that the answer is sort-of-yes - if all a person wants is to get drunk, then wine isn't worth the bother, but if you want to get a bit tipsy and enjoy a taste that compliments your meal, then it's great if you get the right wine for the food. But I still think Sylar would have a curiosity about it. And Peter, honestly, has never paid a lot of attention to wine. He drank what he was given. He knows how to appreciate it, how to drink it, and the general guidelines for selecting it, but even with a stout education in liquor and drinking and growing up in an upper class family which routinely drank wine with dinner, I think he'd be unfamiliar with most of the wall-o-wine.

So he'd get a bottle down and offer to try it. Because to Peter, this is all in Sylar's head and it's not like breaching a 250 year old bottle of whatever for a lark is robbing the world of a great treasure.

Can you run with that? Do you want to do this in LJ comment? Do you want me to put together some dialogue? Keep in mind that while I'm at work, I can't reply, so this is one turn a day at best. Plus this will be a busy week for me, but that might work well for your own schedule just as much.
