Hello there :) I've been waiting for this to go up so I can throw in my thoughts. Once again, I'm back home and not in a position where staying up until past midnight is the best thing to do. However, I do have my DVDs this time around and will most likely be by myself for most of tomorrow, which means that I can do the rewatch and make my comments when I get up in the morning, as well as give better responses to you guys' comments! Also, thankfully, my internet connection here appears to be behaving, or has been so far, so I shouldn't have the problems that I had last time I was home

I agree about the Claire storyline. The murder-mystery is pretty much my favorite Claire storyline for the series.

Samuel as Danko in reverse ... that's an interesting concept. I need to think on that one.

And yes, the Matt/Nathan intercuts were a really good sequence!

Danko is a much better villain than Samuel. Though I do like having a special as the bad guy again.

I've been studying all day and when I saw the time declared it break time so I could take part in the rewatch and unwind for a little while before diving back in. I have mixed feelings about the first part of this season because of Sylar's brainwashing squicks me so much. The very idea of someone messing with my head in such away makes me shudder and get very uncomfortable. Expect some strange comments from my corner.

I think the writers just made it up as they went a long with his powers.

I think the dark circles around Samuel's eyes give him away as being a villain.

I haven't seen this episode in ages and completely forgot about him burying the compass with his brother. Nice way to reveal his powers.

God. Annie is such a spaz. I think I may love her. Sadly I can relate to the overachiever attitude even if I like to believe that I'm not that much of a snob.

Annie's a little snotty about those bears. She would probably judge me.

I liked Annie, too! Over-achiever or not, she's cool! She's got a mission! That's awesome. It makes her so much more sympathetic and intriguing a character than Claire's 'I dunno what I'm gonna do with myself'ness. Claire is vague, limp, and boring.

Poor Kimiko. She needs to realize that she probably doesn't want Hiro in the day to day running of the company. It would only end in tears.

I love Peter. I think we all want him for our EMT if we got in trouble. I also love how he just rips the door off without worrying if she notices.

I love the look on Claire's face as Annie calls out to her. She's clearly wishing she could pretend she never noticed her.

I've seen this teacher in something else before......Bones! He was on Bones and Dr. Brennan kept insulting him.

Of course Peter would know all their names. Doesn't surprise me in the least.

Peter looks like his feelings were hurt that they don't need him to work.

Yes! Yes! That's part of the issue!!! The original history has her disliking him forever due to one single slushie incident? That makes no sense at all. It makes her look so shallow and cruel, that she'd hold one trivial accident against him for so long. Which is bizarre, because Ando has a lot of dislikeable traits - the crap he gets up to with Hiro, the slackerdom, the online porn, the gaming in his cubical, the unethical behavior ... all sorts of things!

And yes, this season really made me love Peter in a way the earlier ones didn't. (Didn't hurt that he'd bulked up on muscle. ::sigh::)

OMG yes! And Hesam really was checking Peter out a little too much there. I mean, if my same-sex work partner was undressing ten feet away from me, I'd be pointedly staring at the wall off to the side while we talked. I sure as heck wouldn't be checking them out while they weren't

I think this may be part of why I ignore the Hiro and Ando scenes. They're just going to bother me. Either they're not doing anything important to the plot or it won't make any sense and aggravate me. I can't help but to think the writers dropped the ball with Hiro's powers. They could have done something really cool with them but they just didn't seem to plan anything as to how they worked.

You know, I love Heroes to death. And I've toughed it out throughout all three seasons, resolutely watching every scene, with every character, no matter what. But tonight, I fast forwarded through the Hiro / Ando scenes, or used them to write my notes on the other, better scenes. I dislike them *that* much.

My poor stomach. It has been stuffed to capacity. Made old-fashioned homemade egg noodles today, put with chicken and broth and slow cooked to make the most delicious, thick chicken and noodles you ever did see, and so tasty! OMG. Then that peach and blueberry cobbler I made for dessert, with some homemade vanilla ice cream. Five stars. Seriously. For a bunch of hicks, we sure do cook good

Blueberry cobbler....want...All of that sounded delicious but I have a weakness for blueberry cobbler.

First time I watched this I was trying to figure out if they had forgotten that Peter was a nurse when I realized he was an paramedic.

That's intense stuff to find out about your family. I can only wish you luck with processing it. My parents have dropped some bombshells before and I still haven't quite processed one or two.

I wish I could travel back in time and talk to her about it. I hope I get more of a chance to ask questions of my aunts and uncles. They were extraordinarily close-mouthed about it at dinner, so after getting the basic facts, I dropped it.
