Mmm. I could imagine that the joys Adam had in captivity were few, but the ones he did have he took the time to savor. XD

Yes. And I figure he had plenty of time to figure out every tiny piece of leverage that was available to him. He couldn't ask for anything that would help him escape - that would never be granted - but he could ask for little luxuries in exchange for being the otherwise cooperative prisoner they wanted.

Now I want a cherry pie.

Poor Adam. This really drives home how boring and monotonous his life is. Having a squabble over some blood and pie. But he managed to get those guards riled up. I suppose that's a victory.

Yeah. I didn't get around to writing up the guards. I need to.

How bored I would be, trapped in a cell like that for nearly thirty years? Jesus. Yeah, I'd be desperate for whatever stimulation I could get. A little increased interaction, even. And the validation of being acknowledged as worth bargaining with, even if the stakes are really minor. Every time they deal with him like that, he feels important - just a little bit.
