Heroes Rewatch!!! Let's get the party started! This week's episode is "Into Asylum", which is a great episode.
  • Claire and Nathan flee to Mexico.
  • Peter and his mother seek refuge on holy ground.
  • Danko adopts the Company's "one of us, one of them" strategy with an unlikely ally.
I'll be posting at 6 pm Central Daylight Time. Drop on by and let us know ( Read more... )

This is the episode that I'm the most sad I'm going to miss the rewatch for, because it seriously is one of my very favourite episodes of Heroes ( ... )

Peter and Angela's plot serves to move the plot of the volume along but also gives quiet and breathing space for a bit of character development between the two, and shows us how this volume has changed Peter, for better or for worse ( ... )

And last but not least. THE USE OF MUSIC. Two uses. The song (is it called "Runaway"?) playing in Danko's car, creating a really interesting background to Danko and Sylar's first conversation, plus the way it then fades from radio music to full on background music, and then plays into the opening titles is brilliant ( ... )

Dammit. Now I'm even sadder that I can't watch this episode with you guys. Does anyone know if there is any way of retrieving deleted fics on fanfiction.net, because I've accidentally deleted something I worked really, really hard on and its kind of made me sad and angry.

I need cheering up.

Is it in your computer's clipboard?

Do you have the source document still on your hard drive or cloud source? (Don't forget to check temporary files and auto-save)

Will the Back button help?

Do you still have the fic stored in your "Upload Documents" portion of "Publish Documents" on FFN?

Have you attempted to Google your fic, and then check their cached file? If it is something you had online for months and only deleted in the last few hours or days, it's most likely still out there.

Failing that, there's the wayback machine, which I've heard stores a mostly complete version of the internet at various points in time. I've never used it, but nrrrdy_grrrl here on LJ uses it sometimes to access otherwise-lost fics.

I actually deleted it about a week ago, unfortunately, but didn't realise until just now, and because I wrote it on my old computer, not this laptop, I haven't got it saved anywhere.

I'll try the google thing, and even see if my computer history has it, possibly. Thanks for helping :)

I've managed to find about half of the chapters, thank goodness. Better than nothing.

Sorry for clogging up the thread with this.

I deserve a cookie. I've had a not very good week and been looking forward to this for the past couple of days. Today my internet connection went down. No luck getting it fixed today. I've packed up and am sitting in a Starbucks loading up the episode on Netflix so it's ready. *is annoyed but determined*

:(

Seems like this last week was not good for several of us. All three of my likely job prospects dried up or went on hold, so I'm still without work. And being depressed, I haven't made much progress on my fics, but the muse is starting to come back. Which is good, because there's a whole big Syko story I'm hoping tonight's ep will spawn.

Glad you could make it! You *do* deserve a cookie!

I'm so sorry about your job prospects. I know you seemed really hopeful about them in one of your posts. I'm sure something will come along.

My problems have mostly been school related. I'm getting ready to return to school after being out for going on six years. There has been a lot of paperwork and trying to get a hold of various people who have to approve things has been one long painful headache.

So glad the muse is starting to come back. :D I'll be stalking your livejournal for fics when things calm down and when my internet comes back.

Okay, I'm not going to complain about this scene (I love it). I think Sylar has a chameleon ability from a deleted scene in S2 -it basically makes him "invisible" by blending in to the background. Not that that...exactly works here.

It would totally explain some things.

GB mentioned some time ago that rain doesn't appear to bother Milo/Peter and I know why: he knows he looks hot wet or dry and his hair just poofs back into place magically. Its part of his superpowers.

LOL. So true! And yes, so hot. Ugh.

"Make some calls. Put some things in motion" -- your phrasing is so typically, disgustingly ambiguous. I notice you're racing for that pay phone, Nathan.

This, a million times.

Sylar agreeing with Bennet - will the world end? I like seeing Danko's big flaw here, makes him human, makes the story better.

Which flaw is that?
