I didn't say this before, but I laughed and immediately noticed wet sandwich! I'd never heard that one before, but its so accurate and she did drop him like a wet sandwich, like a wet shirt. I thought it was very clever.

Hypocritical!Peter is so much fun for me, as is honest!Peter and a host of other !Peters. I enjoy that he tries to defend himself, on instinct, knowing defending against Sylar's accusations is a lie. I, personally, don't credit it to him being off-balance in this situation, but to him being...emotionally compromised, I guess?

And, wow, Sylar is just...brutal here. Interesting how we each write the others' character more brutal than we generally write them. Sylar's so hard to write in S4, especially the Wall, I'm sure, because he's a mix of, like, three or four people and you can't really go so overt and just say 'He's Sylar behind the Wall', its not that simple. Here, of course, he's totally off the chain and with good reason. I need to step up my game!

Peter's really having a hard time of this - tunnel vision and tight chest...Like I said, intense. (Although sometimes I think Peter is as much of a drama queen as Sylar!)

My official joke for Peter based on this: "The fight had suddenly turned into something else and the latest of too many shocks in the last few minutes zapped through Peter’s frame, paralyzing his brain as he stuttered over what he should do in response." -- is that All State commercial with the white guy as the GPS that needs to be updated. Peter's brain: Recalculating!

"He felt his body flush from top to bottom and he whimpered from that emotional onslaught that he couldn’t deny. His fingers, twined with Sylar’s at the back of his head, flexed irregularly as his will to fight the man off fragmented." -- Awesome. This series is now called "The Seduction of Peter Petrelli."

Interesting how, between our two stories, both Sy and Peter get a chance to stop before things go any farther sexually and Peter's left with the ball in his court both times.

And Peter! At the end there, getting a woody and moaning in the hall but pushing Sylar back and having the nerve to glare? Seriously? As if Sylar was going to do something after *that*, oh, silly Peter.

I've started a spin off of this chapter (at least...I think its a spinoff), FYI. Partly from Peter's POV, strangely enough. So far I like where my muse is leading me ;)

I had a spin-off, too, but it wasn't going anywhere. It did include this line that I think you'd find amusing:

"He knocked at Sylar’s door, waiting restlessly outside. Tension and nerves caused butterflies to take flight in his gut. I am way too worked up about this. Oh wait … oh. Oh, no. No. What if he’s not the only one in love? God help- The door opened and Peter was snapped out of his disturbed thoughts. Sylar stood inside, new white t-shirt, jeans and bare feet. He looked freshly showered and so scrumptious that Peter had to send out a rescue party for his brain."

Anyway, I sort of skipped over the rest of the evening and moved things on to the next day, when Peter goes back to Sylar's apartment. Where's/When's yours set? Maybe they'll mesh again like these last two, or I can jigger mine around for that. I'll send you what I've got and we can discuss. If they overlap too thoroughly, then we can just have a 'pick your own ending'! :D

That is awesome! And yeah, it's essentially what's happening. Peter's getting emotional whiplash and is trying to reorient and keep up with the program.

I'm so glad to hear you're trying your hand at writing from Peter's POV!

It's easy to be brutal in writing the other's character because as the author you/I/whichever of us is the author here, knows what's going to happen next. I knew, for example, that I was setting it up for Peter to hit him, so I needed Sylar to deserve a decking. Plus this seemed like the sort of thing, the near-rejection of 'I need to think about this' that would set Sylar's insecurities to rampaging and his sarcasm to flapping his jaw defensively.

And hey, if we need a title for the series, you've just provided it!
