A fascinating and hilarious website: http://www.idumpedhimbecause.com/top. People list the reason(s) why they dumped men. And that's it - just the reason. Short, sweet and often very funny. If you've recently ended a relationship with someone, I highly recommend it.

Seriously, I was just googling to find a better phrase than "dump him like a hot potato" or "dump him like a hot rock". I wanted to avoid the 'hot' word because I think it creates a mental impression that the person in question is hot (which he is; it's Sylar after all), but that wasn't the nuance I was going for. I fret over minor things like this in a story. While Thesaurus.com is a huge help on straight synonyms, finding good alternate phrases is a bit harder. Something I try from time to time is to put the start of the phrase into Google, like "dump him like a" and then hit Search to see how other people have ended that. But I forgot the quotation marks the first go around and stumbled on these sites.
Ah-hah! With the quotation marks, I have these endings for "dumped him like a":
