Aww. Lovely.

I had a flashback to 'So what'd we win?' (S4, you might not have seen the episode), just with more genuine enthusiasm and less...sarcasm.

And I laughed about it being scripted. Peter's going 'Gosh, that's sure...detailed. Thought about this all night, have you?'

Don't think I didn't notice you sneaking in the word earth-shattering with Petlar sex in the same sentence. I'm onto you.

I enjoy the realism - Peter cuts himself and has to go out and get the tray. And also that Gabriel didn't immediately go for the 'passing-food-through-a-kiss' thing, that he had to stumble on it.

That whole last paragraph was yum on a stick.

And Peter having cute, love moments of drama FTW.

(I couldn't tell you'd written this a year plus ago, so you know)

Thank you!

In context, it was written while I had an idea for SS that in the near future, Peter would tend to be the one leading/dominant and Gabriel was usually compliant and cautious. So for him to come out with a 'here's *exactly* what we're going to do this evening' was unusual. It would have normally been more like 'would you be okay with doing X, Peter?' and even that would have been awfully forward of Gabe.

SS has since spiraled off and out into a different direction, mostly at the insistence of one of my reviewers who insisted the guys really ought to talk about what they wanted in the relationship and in bed. Having them do that set them on a different course of increasing communication rather than stumbling around trying to figure out what they each wanted. The stumbling around is more my personal experience of sex in a relationship, as actually discussing what you want, using words is just so strange and off limits. Ha.

And the best part is I subconsciously understood that from the bluntness of Peter's blinking reaction. He was very surprised to hear that ( ... )

If you're interested, I have a couple chapters of SS that got scrapped entirely after the direction change because they turned into things the boys just wouldn't do with each other. They don't make a lot of sense out of context so I've never tried to recycle them. If you want to read them, let me know and I'll email them over ( ... )

Would I? I'd love to read them! Thank you for offering.

Interesting how 'bagging' someone as high profile as Peter would still screw with his self-image. Then again, Peter is, well, a man after all and that's bound to throw him for loops.

Ha! I'd never thought of it that way. I now have more empathy for those guys (and women). Its always easier for me to write things out than say them aloud, too.
