Boom Watch, Day 3

Grr. Argh!

I swear, I hate my job. Crap real life interferes with my writing! Leaves me frustrated and angry and pent up!

Anyway, I didn't get anything written last night, so I resolved that if I could hit my goal before I posted my update for day 3, then I'd have ... you know, hit my goal. So I wrote 1,015 more words and moved the story along nicely. We're now at the point where Peter has a lot of angsting and deep thinking to do. He has been fully informed of the nature of the dilemma he faces. Now he must decide what he should do about it and I've tried to set it up so it's not an easy decision.

1,015 words means I'm still 400 ahead of the game. I have a busy weekend ahead. I have a work-related appointment tomorrow at 9, then the bank, then go to Rise of the Planet of the Apes with a friend, then home to hopefully write and lounge around lazily before D&D, bill-paying, etc. Sunday I have sex and then much later picking up the kids. Oh, and I've been invited to a neighbor's meal, but she uses so damn much cayenne in her food that I'm not sure I'll go. I went to a dinner of hers tonight and I politely ate everything I put on my plate, but really I'd have been happier with a freaking peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Or something out of a can. Or something out of my freezer. Really. I don't like spicy food! ::sigh:: It *is* free food though. (well, sort of free. I contribute and I give her homemade bread)

But back to my big boom ... yeah, it's progressing. I'm tired and going to go to sleep now so maybe tomorrow I won't feel so irritated at the world. Thank you folks for urging me on. Knowing/thinking that you're reading these posts makes me more diligent in doing my writing.
