I am getting too old for night buses *falls face first in her bed and refuses to move*
Anyway, Tokyo was fun. I failed to get a second Lupin ticket because apparently 5:40am was not EARLY ENOUGH for toujitsukan. I was pretty shocked. On one hand, good job bringing in the crowd Chigi! On the other hand ... damnit Chigi stop being so popular all of a sudden *laughs*
Still, it left me free to go do touristy stuff for a couple of extra hours before the tea party (I go to Tokyo constantly but I never sightsee ... it's like living at the beach and never enjoying the ocean). The weather was warm-ish for those few hours and it never did rain like the forecasts were threatening so I took a couple of hours to enjoy Ueno and Hibiya parks. I toyed around with finally making a trip to the Sky Tree but I didn't think the weather was good enough to see Fuji from it, and I'm holding off paying for that until I'm assured I get some Fuji viewing as part of my package.
I took a different bus than normal home and had a bit of worry when the guy at the counter told me to go to the bus at 11:05pm. I explained to him that the bus was scheduled to leave at 11pm and he was like "Yeah, go there at 11:05" and I was like .... I'm pretty sure I'm saying this correctly in Japanese so why doesn't he seem to see the issue here? Finally I gave up and hung around the lobby peeking at tickets until I found a pair of girls who were on the same bus as I was. They very kindly invited me to go with them to make sure I got on the correct bus. Apparently you're supposed to leave the waiting room at the departure time (11:00) and be at the bus pickup spot at 11:05. Which makes no sense but sometimes Japan is a bit odd like that.
Then karma made up for screwing me out of a Lupin ticket by having the person in the seat next to me cancel ... so I got both seats all to myself. It was pretty sweet and I'm pretty sure I snored my entire way back home, sorry other riders *laughs*.
Anyway, I've got stuff to do but it's late and I have to be up early to put on the business suit since it's graduation day for the 三年生. Then I need to write my own farewell speech for closing ceremonies in a week and a half (I'm being upgraded to a larger junior high school next year.)
Busy, busy!
