so this is the end of SMAP, huh. even the greatest idol group in Japan, has to finish the line in their 25th anniversary.
SMAP is the Johnny's pioneer of everything. they paved a way for many juniors behind them. SMAP basically made the way for the idols-in-multiple-platforms format (MC, variety shows, drama, etc). They showed that Idols isn't about singing and dancing. They shaped the entertainment industry.
I'm not a fan of SMAP. but this thing surely got my nerves.
This made me think: if SMAP, that great super idol group who has influenced Japan so much, have to disband in the end, then it's not impossible for ARASHI to .... :(
I suddenly remembered what Ninomiya said in a talk show 「Shabekuri 007」 : "We (Arashi) never fight. but if we do fight, most likely we'll disband. I don't think we're the types of people that keep hurting each other and pretend things are fine."
I'm afraid Arashi would end up... that way. well at least Arashi will be fine for the next 10 years I suppose, since currently Arashi is Johnny's number 1 moneymaker anyway :P . but still, there's this uneasy feelings. I'm afraid of losing a group that means so much to me.
I still remember Hey! Say! JUMP's Arioka Daiki said that his admired senpai is Katori Shingo but he never mentioned it again and apparently changed to Ohno (faction issues, I see.)
I still remember Kusanagi and Suda Masaki worked together in SMAP × SMAP, and Kusanagi bought the things that Suda wanted.
eventhough it's not every week, I still remember I watched SMAP × SMAP, and my favorite corner is the restaurant things.
I still remember, and really loved Ohno and Nakai's funny interaction in Utaban in 2002~2010 back then.
Nakai and Arashi were like a grown up man with his cute little brothers. and I want it to happen more, because Arashi themselves had grown up and replaced SMAP's position in these days. but since SMAP and Arashi are in different 'faction management', it couldn't happen.
but then after the 'faction management' war ended lately, I thought I could hope that someday SMAP and Arashi would sit down and have talks together. but now it merely become a dream, huh..
We won't know what happen behind the scene. what management does with their talents. we wouldn't know what JE did, do and will do toward their talents. us fans only can give support to them and hope for the best.
I can't imagine how SMAP's fans feel right now. But one thing for sure. I don't ever want to go through the same with my Arashi.
I fell too far with Arashi and I can't hold back anymore.
