Adult Milkshake Party!
After maybe a year of planning, flammifera and I had the Adult Milkshake party! And it was fabulous!
The inspiration for the party was the Trolley Car Diner in Mt. Airy, which serves a milkshake that has kahlua, a banana, and ice cream. I went once with springiswrath, who ordered it, and when the receipt came, it was listed as Adult Milkshake. We were amused.
For the party, I bought 10 half gallons of ice cream (so much ice cream in my freezer!!!!), and people ate most of it. We all created mikshakes out of ice cream, liqueurs, framboise, and cassis lambic. flammifera made (and transported over the ice to the party) homemade eggnog, and we also encouraged people to have beer floats.
Planning the party was really fun because we taste-tested the beer floats. We started with Killians, but it wasn't very tasty. We settled on the Sam Adams Cream Stout, which is actually pretty good with vanilla.
