Okay, so I'm at uni, just rounding off week 2, and I've got to say what a fucking ride its been so far. I've made a TON of friends, got to grips with my course and of course, been inebriated pretty much every night. I love living on my own, its been such a great experience. I was also quite lucky with my flat mates, I get on with all of them well save one, and I've really bonded with a couple of them, but (and not to toot my own horn here) I'm pretty unique in comparison to them all. They're all quite sensible in the fact that they stay in a lot, while I've pretty much been doing something every night. Flat mates names (for the record): Rob, Laura, Jemima, Polly, Jenny and Rhiannon. Gyarr.

Which brings me round to last night. Waterside Court (the name of the student halls I'm staying in) had an unofficial pub crawl, hosted by my good friend Oz in the 2nd year. I didn't think we were gonna get a particularly good turn out... which I was really, really wrong about. At one point we must have had a chain of about 40-50 drunk teenagers all plodding along, desperately in search for a watering hole. I think we must have visited 5 pubs in total, ending the night in a club called XL. I don't think I've ever been quite so drunk in my life, but it was brilliant. Everyone kind of danced and loads and loads of people were just hugging me and being happy. I won't forget that night in a hurry.

One weird thing that happened to me when I came to uni was I completely lost my labido. Which is slightly odd considering I've spent the last 9 months looking for a girl friend, and the moment I'm put in the perfect environment (Bath Spa has a ratio of 5 girls to every guy), bam, bye bye the will to fuck. But it actually worked out in my favour. I never knew the amount of girls that are quite happy to randomly come up and talk to you. I never once gave anyone I spoke to the impression that I was trying to get into their pants, and as a result it seems to have paid off with pleasing results! I'm kind of seeing this one girl at the minute, she's really, really sweet, and the best part is I can actually hold a conversation with her (oh the luxuries), so yeah its all gravey!

Though I'm slacking. I haven't done any reading or writing since I got here, I haven't brought any books and I haven't bothered looking for a job. Must remedy this next week.

On closing, I really do have the most sincere pity for those poor chaps that don't make it this far. The experience is one of a kind, people really don't exaggerate when they say that Uni is the best 3 years of your life, and often makes your character. In my mind, it's worth every expense. To think I have another 3 years of these last 2 weeks just makes me fucking ecstatic :D
