This Yuletide letter is basically a rehashing of previous letters with just new details for this year's requests.
Dear Yuletide Author of Mine,
The very fact that you have offered to write in one of my requested fandoms already means that you are totally awesome. Thank you so much! I enjoy a wide variety of fic. Het, slash, gen, smut, it's pretty much all good for me. I like strong characterization, exploration of relationships between characters, angst (oh how I love angst), and bittersweet endings. But I'd love humor if the situation warrants. My dislikes are the usual: non-con, incest, character death, etc.
Batwoman - Kate and Maggie's mostly conventional honeymoon.
I hope that if you offered this fandom, you know about the controversy surrounding the creative team for Batwoman vs. the higher-ups at DC. The team decided to leave DC rather than agree to corporate wishes not to show Kate and Maggie's wedding in the book, because apparently superheroes can't be happy. Author, I want this prompt to show Kate and Maggie happy, but if you want to throw in a complication or five which would make that goal a little more difficult, I wouldn't mind that either.
Breaking Bad - Jesse's artistic pursuits.
Poor Jesse. I spent an inordinate amount of time during my obsession with Breaking Bad wondering whether Jesse would ever go back to his drawing. And that brief scene of him working on a wooden box in the finale just made my heart hurt. He's always been a creative soul, and I think the meticulous methods for cooking meth the Heisenberg way both stifled him (because he had to make it exactly like Walt to keep it pure) and gave him an outlet for his creativity. This prompt is for seeing what post-series Jesse is up to, now that he doesn't have to cook. Would he indulge his creativity? And how?
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Girls' night out.
I just thought it would be fun if the main female characters of the show got a night all to themselves where they wouldn't have any of the dudes looming. Maybe Rosa and Gina decide that Amy needs a little loosening up and take her out for a night of debauchery? Really the sky's the limit here; I mostly just want to see a lot more of these characters hanging out together.
Rush (2013) - After it's all over, was it worth it?
Niki and James meet up after the Japan Grand Prix and James' winning the F1 season. It doesn't really matter exactly when this fic should take place, just that I want to see them in the same room and not taking potshots at each other. It's tremendously clear from the film that they love each other. How that love manifests itself is up to you. As you saw above, I'm totally fine with all sorts of fic.
Parks and Recreation - Leslie's Best Day at the Office Day
Leslie has created all sorts of holidays to celebrate various life events among her friends and coworkers. Well, what if there's a day where the rest of the Pawnee Parks and Rec department have to celebrate Leslie? What would that entail? Who would be in charge?
Since my Dreamwidth has been (sadly) neglected as of late, you may find my Tumblr a little more helpful in observing my tastes. As you can see, my fandom interests are pretty eclectic. Also, if you wish to see what sort of fic I've written, most of them are on my AO3 profile here.
