Instant manip! Just add Merlin.

There's a lovely new picture on OMG!Eoin Macken that just begs to be maniped.

Here is what the original looks like.

Source: OMG!Eoin Macken tumblr

It's a still from Christian Blake, and the other guy's face is outlined in black. There's not even a concern about getting the edges right, because you can just airbrush some black over it (or at least that's how my simpleton mind sees it).

To test out my hypothesis, I tried my hand at a manip that doesn't involve Face In Hole.

Look how versatile it is! Sad!Merlin and kind of creepy, smirking!Merlin.

So I roughly cut out Merlin's head, rotated it, put it in a hopefully appropriate position, and airbrushed the edges black. That's it. (Nevermind that the picture quality of the sources for Merlin weren't the same as the original picture.)

For a quick manip, I think it's remotely passable and supports my hypothesis that this picture is just begging for someone to put Merlin or Elena or [insert character here] by making itself (somewhat) easy. (The angle's a bit off in the z-axis, but there's no 3D rotate in Gimp).

So verdict: pic is meant to be maniped? Y/Y?

If anyone feels like trying their hand too, please share the results! :D

Surely I can't be the only one who wants to put someone else's head there.

[Edit: Also any feedback would be lovely. I keep readjusting the positioning of Merlin's head but in the end, I have it back where the original guy had his head and it always looks a bit off, and I'm not sure why. I drew out where I think Merlin's neck and shoulders would go and lined it up with the guy's shoulder, but still, not quite right. At this point, the guy in the original photograph is starting to look a bit odd too...]

[Edit #2: Yes I put up a kinkme prompt. It has two lovely fills! Check them out here]

no clue how to tag this, that's sir g-a-w-a-i-n to you
