Animal Antics

I spent the today at the RSPCA and I am very tired. I had to walk too many dogs today, and it took the toll on my legs and feet. Anyway I have school tomorrow (no rest there), which is surprisingly okay. My lessons seem fine, so I just have to see how it goes.

I just went to have a look in the garden, and I noticed this odd looking bird by the pine tree at the back. The guinea-pigs were in the run outside, and Blossom (our rabbit) was just roaming around on the lawn. So I asked my mum what kind of bird she thought it was, and she started talking about it being a bird-of-prey, so I shouted "is it a kestrel?", and she said she thought so. We went out to have a look, and there it was, eating something. I started panicking a bit (because I was afraid it might be somehow eating one of our guniea-pigs) and ran over there. The kestrel flew away, leaving behind a pair of legs, lower spine, organs and wings of a pigeon. There were feathers everywhere. Safe to say, we're all quite worried now. The animals had to be put away, because now we're scared that that it's going to eat our pets! Damn bird! I feel all irrational. MY PETS ARE NOT FOOD. NOT FOR ANYONE. Blossom didn't even care that her natural predator was standing about 10 feet behind her, which isn't good for, y'know, not being eaten. She needs some lessons in how to be a rabbit. The kestrel might actually be a tamed bird from one of the bird centres in the area, so we may even have to call the police or the RSPCA or something. Gosh, life is never simple.
