US Election Day 2008

I know some people in the USA have already voted, but today is still the main election day I guess. I really wish I lived in the US just so I could vote! Instead I'm just stuck here in the UK, following the news avidly, knowing that this decision is bound to affect me in some way, and yet I have no possible influence over the outcome. Democracy's kind of broken when it comes to the US because the American president really is the most important person in the world, and if it ever came to some kind of "Representative of Earth" situation, the US president would be that person. And yet there's no global vote (for understandable reasons; it would be ridiculous). So I guess there's no winning.

Still, I take a lot of interest in US politics, so I hope I hear good news tomorrow morning. Just think, this time tomorrow, the world will have a new president.

I think we're about to see history in the making! :D
