Crimeny, I miss one day and I feel like I've been gone for a week! It's true when they say LiveJournal is a full time job...if only it paid. Anyhow, I've been quite busy this week with work, but I'm coping quietly. **awards self cookie** Anyway, now it's the weekend again (YAY), which I feel has come round quite quickly. Now, my weekend plans, let me show you them:
Saturday;
Wake up and get ready
Go to
lemon_jelly17's place
Eat lunch and slob out
Go to town
Look round the new shopping centre
See The Dark Knight (the fourth time for me; it's now an official expression)
Sunday;
Wake up and be thankful it's still the weekend
Get in the car and go to Cambridge
Wander round the city and check out the university
Hopefully return home and watch a film
So, as you can see, my weekend is really quite a good looking one! I have even amassed some money for town, so hopefully I'll be able to find something awesome in Smiths or Forbidden Planet to waste it on :D And then, on Sunday I get to see the university for the first time! My brother leaves on the 4th of October, so he's not got long left at home. It's going to be strange without him, but we're planning to rely on a carefully-prepared regime of emails and webcams. Sounds like a plan to me! Now I'm going to go and catch up with my flist, so I'll see you at your journals! ;)
ETA; I just remembered that I intended to post this quote with my next post. It's from The Scarlett Letter again, which I'm really enjoying. Analyse it as you will ;)
It was a folly, with the materiality of this daily life pressing so intrusively upon me, to attempt to fling myself back into another age; or to insist on creating the semblance of a world of airy matter, when, at every moment, the impalpable beauty of my soap-bubble was broken by the rude contact of some actual circumstance.
