Apologies for the crappy beach writing :)
^This is pic of a street theatre dealy they had on the first day we arrived. The parade itself was actually quite shoddy, but I love this picture, especially with the Millenium Centre in the background.
^The glorious Millenium Centre at night. It says in Welsh and English: "In these stones, horizons sing". At least I think it does.
^The old Welsh national essembly in the Oval Basin. You can just about all see the crowds that were there for the street theatre.
^Here it is in the daytime, in an empty Oval Basin. Just a nice contrast.
^This is the Basin with the Millenium Centre and the Water tower in the background
^Cardiff bay with a temporary big wheel in the background. You can just about make out the little white chapel where Roald Dahl was christened, on the right, in the far, far, far background, kinda behind the trees.
^This is a light dealy from this '50s diner on the bay. It reminded me horribly of The Machinist, which creeped me out a tad.
^This is a little random; it's from the site where our apartment/shaleigh was. It's the closest thing to a police box, and you don't see many traditional red telephone boxes, so I took a picture even so :D
^This is like a giant bookshelf near the Cardiff library; I think it's like an advertisement for books in general. I wanted to get a photo last year, but we only pass it in the car, so it's hard to snap.
^This quite a nice view of the bay; the building to the left of the big wheel is one of the one's Jack stood on in S1 of Torchwood, and the building to the right is St David's hotel, a place where many of Cardiff's celebrities live. Heh, we parked in their carpark :)
^This is the building to the right of the National Museum of Wales. I can't remember what it was, but it's something grand. It's kind of in Cardiff park.
^This is Penarth's pier, on its beach. We only got to go on the beach for on the first Sunday and Monday we arrived, because the weather was rather grim.
^It was a pebble beach as is evident from this photo.
^Okay, this really is a little random. It's a pic I took of my brother with the black and white setting on my camera which I hardly use. I just think it's a great picture, which is why I included it :)
^This is the beach at Barry Island, when I had just bought an ice cream. Combining two awesome things there.
^LOL, my beach!TARDIS. It is the worst thing since sliced bread xD
^This was the same beach like an hour later. It started raining to hell, and literally everyone vacated, and were replaced with a lot of seagulls. We had to abandon our tent which had broken earlier that day. I don't think I've ever been that wet from the weather. We all got literally soaked, but my faithful lil' camera didn't break in the storm, even though it got terribly wet **pets it**
Okay, these next pics are from London, which we visited for the day on the Thursday of the first week, to visit the British Motor Show. I had to wake up at like half five in the morning to get the coach down there, and then we got the coach back later that day.
^I saw this when I stepped out of the coach station, near the tube station. I'd love to see this musical, and I didn't even know it was on in that part of London. I didn't get to see it obviously, but I still took a picture.
^We spent most of our time at the Ford stand (due to my brother's fanboyish obsession with them) and I love this car! It's like the new version of the current Focus ST, which comes in blue and orange. This is actually a much brighter and lovelier green, but my camera didn't get that D:
^This is a Mondeo headlight, which is pretty. And yes, those are my red legs!
^Here is the Bugatti Veyron, the fastest car ever. They cost five million to make, but they only cost £850,000 to buy (yeah, only). It was hard to get a good picture because of all the barriers/people.
^Ha, these are the cars that were in Top Gear! This is James May's cop car, which reads: "Rozzers" and "Catching crims and locking them up...in your community"
^Jeremy Clarkson's which reads: "Polizia" and "In jail no one can hear you scream"
^Richard Hammond's which says: "Police" and "Call 999 for details" It has a stinger on the front (which is nails in a piece of carpet).
^I took this kind of by accident from the coach window, but I likes it. Yay, stereotypical London!
^I felt impelled to take this. Yes, it was neccessary.
^Okay, back in Cardiff at the Doctor Who exhibition, in the Red Dragon Centre.
^I really like this, even though I moved the camera by accident. YES, I WAS AFRAID TO BLINK.
Later that day I went and saw The Dark Knight again. It was awesome, although the people in Cardiff didn't seem to appreciate it as much. I intend to go and see it again next Wednesday with my other Bat-obsessed friend.
This is our second week, at Pendine, which is again where we stayed last year.
^Dylan Thomas, the reknowned writer, lived in Laugharne for four years up until his death in 1953. This is his boat house.
^On the left "Dylan Thomas Walk", and the right his writing shed.
^Tenby's St Catherine Island. It reminded me of the island in Mammia Mia!
^We visited three castles! This is Carew castle, a ruin (with the flood mill in the background)
^This made me laugh!
^Laugharne Castle
^Dinefwr castle
^The view from Dinefwr castle, which is purdy.
^Some cattle at the grounds near Dinefwr castle.
^We also visited Manor Wildlife park. This is a wallaby.
^They an area where you walk around with the lemurs. This is a picture I got of a lemur JUMPING ON ME.
^This is a picture my brother took of the lemur in my lap. Aww, it was like a big cat!
^This at the grounds of the National Botannical Gardens of Wales. Duckies!
^The glass house there, much like the Eden Project
^This was a sign inside the glass house that made me laugh because it's utterly useless to anyone in a fire.
^Pretty fountain
^These were models made of lots of broken china pottery. I thought they were lovely.
^This is another gardens, called Aberglasney, which was the last place we visited, hence it being the last picture.
Whew! I'm finally done! This is the third attempt I have made at posting this today because my laptop kept crashing; it's low on virtual memory and disk space, so I don't really know what I'm gonna do with it. Since I got back from holiday I've been a bad LJ friend, which is due to no real reason, but I can never seem to get anything done. Sigh. I'm still adapting back to normal life. Sorry anyhow. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this LONG post which has eaten many hours of my life, but at least it's a good souvenir of my holiday!
