I'm not dead... not yet.
Haven't posted in about 8 months, but I figured I'd put something up in case anyone still checks this.
I did quit FFXI at the end of November, and I don't plan to go back. I promised my wife no more MMOs until FFXIV. I do miss playing FFXI at times, mainly all the friends I made.
I've been keeping myself busy on the Wii. Picked up Super Mario Galaxy 2 a couple weeks ago. It's fun, and something I can do with my wife.
