Sing us a song...

OH MY GOD!!!

Billy Joel was amazing.  It was so much fun.

Opened with Angry Young Man...which is soo much cooler than hearing Ryan or Rich or a Faustini play it.  Some of the highlights of night included New York State of Mind, which the whole crowd got really into, Ballad of Billy the Kid which is arguably his best song EVER.  Goodnight Saigon, where he had all of these Marines who were on leave from Iraq come on and sing the chorus (not a dry eye in the house!) Miami 2017, again not a dry eye in the house.  He did this really cool Stand by Me into An Innocent Man, The whole "guitar set," (A matter of trust, we didn't start the fire, Still Rock and Roll, and Big Shot) where he didn't play the piano, either played guitar or used a mic stand.  Encores were Only the Good Die Young, Scenes and Piano man, which seriously was incredible, I can only imagine what playing that song is like to him.  20,000 people screaming the words you wrote at you, and then singing the chorus which has come to define your career...I mean that's really amazing.

And they recorded last night which means when they release the cd, I'll be on it...I'm going to be on a Billy Joel CD, GO ME!!!!
