Weekend trip to Riga. Begining.

I am sitting at the Tampere-Pirkkala airport at this moment. According to airport' rules one should be there at least 2 hours before the flight. Usually it is really good to be there a prior, you never know about queues for check-in, about time it takes to get your gate . Also there are a lot of shops such a duty free and nice coffee places where you can easely waste your time before the flight.
But it doesn't work for this airport. It is so small that you hardly can get any queue for check-in and here is almost nothing to do while you wait. There are one modest duty free shop and coffee place.

It is old building of Tampere airport and city were going to demolish it. The Ryanair company has bought it and gave opportunity for people to travel around the world cheaply. Thank you very much for it! The new building of airport is just next to it and called Terminal 1. This one looks much better from outside as well as inside, but there is almost nothing to do as well.

The gate was supposed to be closed 5 minutes ago and it wasn't even opened before. There are no complains here though. We still have about 1 hour before the flight!
The flight from Tampere to Riga takes about 1,5 hour and I suppose to get the center of Riga about midnight.

OK, the plan was just changed by nice ladies voice from speakers. The aircraft is late. So the flight is delaied for 35 minutes.

What a begining of the new adventure!:)

Next post will be probably made in Riga if I find free wi-fi spot, because it's quite expensive to use 3g abroad.
