Do you know how can I have more than 8 sims in a college dorm and, play them normally?

I'm really sorry to disturb you with my questions but, I've donne a quick search and did not found anything that satisfies me.

Have you tried one of the hacks that allows more than 8 sims in a regular household? I dunno if they extend to dorms, but it's worth a try. :)

I found some references to an hack like that with link to MT2 but, the hack was not there any more.

I tried also "one hacked object that I don't remember the name" - it's like a maxis plant - Inseem"something", I think - I can summoned a sim and controle it but, not living in and act like a normal sim...if you know what I mean..

I thounght there was a game cheat for that...:/

I've always been a bit of a lurker but I just wanted to let you know that I use that mod and it works perfectly!

This can summon the sim and move them in officially.

I tested the mod mentioned and did not worked for me. I don't know if I'm doing the wrong way but, when I tried to move in 2 more sims to a college house with already 8 sims, it didn't work (I tried to move them in, in the neighborhood view, like when you have a family in the family bin and want to move them to a house) How do you do it? Ah, it won't work that way I'm afraid. The mod only lets you have more than 8 if you find other ways to move them in because of the way the game is designed or something like that, so no more than 8 in CAS, etc.

If you also download the shrub I linked you to and click on it with one of your sims who live in the dorm you want the extra 2 join, you'll see lots of households to summon people from. So, if this is your megahood you'll see things like "Summon Goth...", "Summon Pleasant...", "Summon Dreamer..." and so on. Keep going until you find the household with the extra two that you want and you'll be able to summon both of them. They'll appear right next to the shrub.

Next, click on the shrub again and you should see an option to "Move in" visitors to the lot. Because of the first mod you installed, they can now move in! They won't bring any money and nor will they instantly have a 20/20ish relationship like normal, but they now officially live on the lot.
