Weekend in the poke-a-nose starts tomorrow!
My youth group has about five or six events every year, and it's always super fun! It's the North-American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) and we do crazy awesome Jew stuff. I'm so excited to see all of my friends.
There'll be a service auction, which is ALWAYS fun! People sell anything, from brownies to a piggyback-ride, to a bedtime story, and then everyone bids outrageous sums on it all, and the money all goes to charity. Our adviser makes a tray of her famous rice-crispy-treats, and that can sell for over one-hundred dollars. Seeing as I am EPICALLY broke, my brother Ariel and I are making a tray of cookies to sell, and I will be selling my services as a maid for one day. So basically, I'll wait on their table, carry them around, lug their bags to the bus, and do what ever will make them laugh. It's good fun, because in NFTY, everyone really is friends.
No where else can I go up to a complete stranger and ask to borrow conditioner, and it's all good. I mean, cons are like that, but this is even cuddlier and friendler, because everyone's around the same age, and are all Jews.
There's a line that gets passed around the NFTY events, which is "Everyone's bisexual at NFTY." That's false, but it's just talking about how even they guys are totally comfortable with each other in the cuddle piles and in the bunks and stuff.
I'm really excited.
Also, yesterday I dyed my bangs purple! I got dye just about everywhere, but it came out of everything except the carpet (and my hair, of course!)
And I clapped Mr. Shina's chalkboard erasers today! I told him I would, because kids in class always laughed at how they made the board dirtier, but he didn't believe me. I HAD to do it then, of course! So I took them outside and clapped for ages and ages, and the dust still kept coming. He asked why I did it, and I said why not. XD Also because it was funny.
Dinner now, before babysitting!
