Dear Yuletide Writer...

Hi there, thank you for coming to read this letter! Just the fact that you're out there -- liking one (or more) of my rare fandoms, and writing a story for me -- is making me happy. So please don't agonize over anything; just try to enjoy yourself and I guarantee you that I'll love the end result :)

The things I like are all over the place, so I'll simply mention a few off the top of my head. This means that there's no reason for you to worry if the stuff I list aren't what you had planned! I'm only writing this to give you some ideas; I'd personally panic if my recipient were to leave blank details and no letter (so I'm just gonna assume you feel the same way *sheepish grin*). That disclaimer aside, here we go: Above all else, I'm extremely fond of characters who are unflinchingly loyal -- including betrayals that are actually done for the sake of the other. Strong/silent characters opening up and revealing feelings they normally wouldn't, equality and unspoken trust between partners, unrequited love and pining that ends up not being that unrequited after all, rivalries, protectiveness, rescues, characters who share a "I understand what you need without having to be told" bond, etc. I definitely prefer a plotty story over a pure PWP, but I certainly won't mind if you feel like including a sex scene!

And on the flip side... I'm really not into crossovers, and I'd prefer no AUs (not that I don't like AUs, don't get me wrong, it's just that these fandoms are rare and therefore I'd like to get fic of them as they are). Also, I really love animals -- so if you could avoid writing something where a pet dies or the characters go hunting, I'd really appreciate it.

Now then, my actual requests:

The Incredible Hulk ☀ Jack McGee ~ David Banner

Needless to say, I hate it when a series I love is canceled and thus gets no resolution. The Incredible Hulk is a perfect example of this; in fact, it's the one that has frustrated me the most throughout the years. I desperately want Jack to find out the truth about his John Doe! If David took a chance on him, how would he have reacted? Would he still have gone through with it all, or was there more to his obsession than just a story? Time and time again Jack saves David -- sometimes at the risk of his own life, while also forgoing the chance of capture. David does the same, risking exposure and losing what little normalcy he has left in his life (as in the unfilmed episode "The Trial Of Jack McGee"). It's heartbreaking that they made for such great friends in "Mystery Man", and I'd love to see them regain that someday. In fact, if you're into slash and feel like taking their relationship a step further, please do!

I once read that if the series had been allowed to continue, Jack would've been forced to go on the run -- together with David. I don't know why or how, or even if it's true, but it sure sounds amazing. So if you're strapped for ideas, there you go! Also, there's one important thing that I should mention... I don't consider those final three movies to be canon. So if you could just completely ignore them, that'd be great.

Cyborg 009 (1979) ☀ Joe Shimamura ~ Jet Link

These two have been an OTP of mine for a very long time, so I'd be ridiculously excited to see a fic pairing them up -- whether it's just slashy hints or something a bit more concrete. Beyond that, I'll be thrilled with anything! But, if you want some ideas... I'd love to see something episode-related, exploring the aftermath we so rarely got to see. There's so many episodes I love, but one of my favorites is the 30th (the one with Joe's "father"). Since Jet was the only other cyborg who was present during the end -- and the one to stop Joe from killing himself, pretty much -- there's plenty of fodder to be had there. I'd also love to see a story exploring their pre-series life together, when they were friendly rivals in the racing world.

I first watched this series when I was six years old, and it's remained my favorite anime ever since. I love every single character (including the ones that only showed up in one episode). As for Jet and Joe -- aside from what I listed in my original request -- I'm also really intrigued by the fact that their past lives are so similar, yet yielded such different people. It'd be really interesting to read about them opening up to each other, and talking about Jet's gang or Joe's time in juvenile prison.

Three Fugitives ☀ Daniel Lucas ~ Ned Perry ~ Meg Perry

As far as I'm concerned, these three made for the cutest family ever. I just want to see them stick together -- not because of more bank robbery shenanigans, but simply because they want to. I'd love it if Lucas and Ned came to realize that it isn't all about Meg; that they actually care about each other as well. And yes, I do ship them, so if you feel like going that route I'd be thrilled!

It's pretty obvious that Lucas has lived a lonely life -- he mentions growing up in an orphanage, and his "there's no such thing as friends" comment kinda says it all. So if you want an actual idea/prompt, I'd love to see him getting used to having a family for the first time in his life. It'd also be fun to see Ned getting to save Lucas, for once!
