The color purple
So my head hurts in a major way right now, but a little update never hurt anyone. My church, (which I haven't wrote about yet but desperately need to), moved to a new building today. We were meeting in the HCC Plant City Campus Trinkle Building, but the rent was too high. We are now meeting in a purple dance studio, of all things. Although, as most people (including myself) has pointed out, purple is the color of royalty so it suits children of the King, no? Anyway, next week I'm going to be singing with the worship team and I am pretty nervous because the new building has an actual (albeit rickety) stage. *Trying so hard not to freak out*
Buuut... I am finally finished with my stories for the HCC newspaper. This week we're working on design and it's going to print next week. I'm pretty stoked. Plus, I am going to NY in March for the college newspaper conference (or something like that). I have mixed feelings about it, though. I'm excited to get on a plane again (I haven't been in years), and I'm excited to go to NYC again (ditto). However, I am a little hesitant about being cramped in a room and hanging out with people I barely know. I hope they aren't mad partiers, because let's face it... I am not. And NY is a semi-dangerous place. (Is it bad I want Veronica Mars's taser to bring with me?) But I digress...
I actually should work on some graphic design homework before I go to sleep. This collage project is killing me! If only he had given us some better pics to work with. Oh well. *Sigh*
