rainbow time!
How do you make it rain?
Get your car washed, and then get your DH to water the plants when he gets home from work.
The past few days we've had thunderstorm warnings, tornado warnings, and at a minimum, rain in the forecast. It hasn't come, and the grass, pretty much everywhere, is brownish green at best.
My car has been kinda grimy looking lately, so tonight, on the way home from picking up Sonja at the sitter's, I bought gas & ran the car through the car wash. And, following the old rule that it must rain within several hours of getting your car washed, it started raining about half an hour ago.
Now, it's mostly done, but due to the weird weather pattern in the area, we had sun in the northwest, and dark clouds in the southeast, and since the sun is setting, the conditions are just perfect for a rainbow! There's even a faint reflection of the rainbow - with the colours in reverse - around the main one.
