Ah, the joys of retro TV
Channel-flipping the other night, I discovered that Much More Music is running the old show "Fame" at 10:00 weeknights.
I used to watch this show every week faithfully...when I was about 13, I think! Watching it now it seems very cheesy, but back then, I was their biggest fan. I even had all the records (yes, vinyl records) from the movie, and the TV show. I can still remember some of the words, too...scary!
Most of the stars, as far as I know, have faded into oblivion, but I know Debbie Allen had some sort of reality show (I think it might have been called "Fame", too...not a big reality TV fan, so I'm not sure on that one.) I'm pretty sure I saw Erica Gimpel (CoCo) as a guest star on House last season. But the others? Whatever happened to Danny, Doris, Bruno, and Leroy? And Miss Sherwood & Mr. Shorovsky?
It may be corny, but it's a nice way to wind down before heading for bed!
