Work is Kicking My Ass!
So I've got a shit-load of transcripts to get out and I'm working on them last weekend. First thing that happens is the monitor goes completely black on my laptop. Okay. So I have to buy a monitor to hook it up to. I don't have the extra cash, but I squeeze my bank account and get one to the tune of $170. I get back to work.
I'm almost finished ... I'm on spell check, when my computer decides to crash. So I get it back up and running, open up the file I was working on ... nothing! The file's empty. So I try for a couple hours to regain the info that was lost, to no avail. It's gone, gone, gone. What could I do but cry and then suck it up and start over. I lost 200 pages of very difficult argument in a capital murder case. Plus it put me behind my deadline.
So I get the deadline extended and I start working again, only to have several more mishaps occur. So I've been working steadily trying to get this crapola finished, but it seems as though the harder I try, the harder it becomes to actually see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. I've plenty of work left to do. I must make money to buy a new computer.
