For all those blissfully unaware, I am going on vacation back home as of Monday for two weeks (!!) and my internets will be spotty at BEST since my mom no longer has it at home. I cry
( Read more... )
Walks up to Dorothy, tucks two fingers beneath her chin and brings her mouth close. The upper lip is slightly fuller than the bottom. Upside down. The way Dorthy turns people upside down with her mere presence. Reinette presses her own mouth close, kissing her. WHAT IS THIS THE STUFF THAT CAN'T GO ON WHILE YOU ARE GONE????
A flush spreads through Dorothy's cheeks-- Reinette's lips are far softer than she's used to, much fuller, more gentle. Effortlessly talented. Devastatingly beautiful. She's struck by exactly how awkward she is, but for the life of her she cannot pull away. And amazingly, she finds she does not want to. YEAH I THINK THAT MIGHT BE JUST ABOUT WHAT I MEANT, YEAH
Reinette does not often find another woman in her arms. It is a rare thing really, and more often than not a situation not entirely of her own making. And so she thinks it is not what Dorothy is, but WHO she is. Reinette's palms cradle her face. She stands just taller than Dorothy, so as her head tilts back more Reinette allows one finger to trace down the taunt line of her throat. The other hand is content where it is, feeling how their mouths work together. Her tongue tastes along the inside of that devastating upper lip, encouraging her to open more for her. WHAT THIS?? LIKE THIS????
IT IS HORST, IT IS YOU WHO CANNOT MAKE UP YOUR MIND YOU STRANGE PERSON
Never ever in her life has Dorothy even considered kissing another woman. Ever. When she has vaguely considered kissing and the subject thereof, it has always been a male member of the species on the receiving end. This, though... Reinette is a friend, someone she trusts. And possibly for only that reason, she doesn't feel like running like hell. With barely any encouragement, Dorothy deepens their kiss, gently tangling her fingers in her friend's long blonde hair. It strikes her that maybe this ought to feel wrong. It really doesn't. YES OKAY MEGS THAT IS WHAT I MEAN ALRIGHT
Reinette allows a brief sigh to escape into Dorothy's mouth. Her fingers in her hair are intoxicating. Seductive. Unexpected. Unexpected in the sense that Dorothy EXPECTS nothing from her. Too much is expected of her too often but not Dorothy and ultimately it leaves Reinette only with a desire to give. The embrace, in its own way, is peaceful. There is nothing to prove because they have already determined the other's worth, and are secure in that knowledge. She sucks softly on Dorothy's tongue. She tastes of cinnamon and skin flavored by the sun. Of afternoons spent outdoors. OK I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT MYSELF.
