So, today I was got one of my teeth pulled. I'm not happy about it, because you can see it. But it is a relief form the pain and sleeplessness I've had as a result since it really started acting up in December. My mouth is pretty painful, but anyway that's not why I'm writing this.
So, I don't think anyone has ever written Brian Kinney as a dentist and while I was lying there, having my hot dentist pull my tooth I got this idea for a fic. So tell me if this sounds totally stupid. I probably won't go into writing it until some of my other stuff is done, but I have this idea and I'd love to hear what any of you think because I would at least like to write the set-up for later if anyone of you think it's worth writing.
Brian is an oral surgeon. His childhood background is mostly the same. His teenage/college years are mostly the same except, he has chosen a different avenue to be make money due to a difference I don't want to give away yet.
Justin isn't bashed, instead he is beaten up badly by Chris Hobbs before prom time (which honestly it is him being bashed but I just want to clarify that it's not 'the bashing' hate crime). His jaw and teeth were damaged badly but the surgeons who first worked on him basically just fixed Justin up minimally, which left Justin's beautiful mouth looking much different.
(there will be more story here explaining why it took so long for Justin to get his mouth fixed if I decide to write this)
Justin has done his research and knows that Brian Kinney's dental practice is the best so he makes an appointment to have a consultation. When he goes in, he finds that Brian's assistant, (Cynthia of course) is the one who he sees and speaks to until the end when Brian Kinney comes in. He shakes his hand and of course there are sparks but Justin doesn't see much reaction from Brian. Brian is just good at hiding it. Justin makes his first appointment to begin the reconstruction surgery and becomes very enamored with Brian on his visits. The confidence he lost is also slowly coming back and he builds the courage up to ask Brian out when his assistant leaves the room.
That's just the beginning and of course Brian and Justin will fall in love and there are some other details I'd rather not give away, secrets and surprises and stuff, but what do you think? Is it worth writing?
:) Rory
