1) Bold what is true about you. 2) Italicize what you wish was true about you. 3) Add one true thing about you to the end of the list. 4) Tag five LJ friends.
Yes, I believe in ghosts, or at least the possibility of the spirit to live on without the physical shell of the body.
My hood... I keep it for a number of reasons: habit, tribal loyalty, and...I confess, I do have some fondness for it that I do not extend to other material possessions. I believe it is a subconscious reminder of my origins (and nearly impossible to replace).
To be perfectly honest, I am suprised that I have not lost it.
I don't know why the ghost thing sort of surprises me. I guess since it's considered a superstitious thing and you're always so logical.
...I could say something here about you losing your hood and me preventing that once...but that would be awkward.
I'm a little surpised my own isn't damaged beyond repair yet or lost. Especially since I so often let others wear it. People have this fascination with my headgear. Do you ever get that?
I have seen enough evidence of spiritual phenomenon in my experience, and from what I have discussed with Victoria.
Yes, that would be remarkably awkward, wouldn't it?
Hm. Cielo seemed to enjoy stealing it...until the novelty apparently wore off. It did not seem to accomodate his braids very well. I occasionally receive quizzical looks from strangers, but other than that, no. No particular fascination.
Oh? What have you seen? Have you also personally seen ghosts? Or anything of that variety? Or does this tie in to the entire 'transition from the Junkyard to the 'Real' world' thing?
I think it's a very interesting hat. Can't help but wonder what purpose those zippers serve, though.
And...uhm, how has Cielo been? I haven't seen him for a long time. Ever since...Uh, well. I haven't seen him in a long time.
It comes to a more personal matter that is rather difficult to explain. I imagine my transition to the "Real" world did have a rather supernatural element as well. Let us not forget that one cannot visit the Nexus and not harbor some belief that there are unusual forces at work.
Some soldiers in the Junkyard chose to wear goggles as part of their uniform -- I imagine the zippers facilitate this somehow.
Several months ago Cielo suffered some of the effects of a malnourished Atma, but otherwise, he has been well.
I don't believe you could be more right regarding the sentiments of strange things afoot at the Nexus. While it also makes you face things that you may have not previously believed in, it also presents to you things that are, frankly, beyond your imagination. And I think both of us can profess about how it has the stunning capacity to change a person...
And good grief, Cielo wasn't feeding his Atma? I hope that the side effects weren't TOO horrible. I do indeed hope both he AND his Atma are all right now.
Truly. I never cease to be amazed by the plethora of entities that visit the Nexus: gods, demons, more species and races than I was aware of in my limited experience. The comrades I have found among these have been an indespensible part of my own, personal...transformation, if you will.
Whether this was a matter of Cielo's Atma not being fed, or the cumulative effect of improper diet is not clear. At current, both are well.
And reading this makes me think of something I've often wanted to ask since...well, since we first met.
Is there anything really signifigant about your hood? Why you like it? Is it fashionable or fuctional, or is it just fondness?
