Gale is equipped with:
-- a
Beretta 92, in a shoulder holster. Both purchased from a shady, but jolly fellow in a big coat who didn't ask to see a gun and/or concealed weapon license. The pistol is more easily concealed than his Junkyard automatic rifle.
-- Dark grey fatigues with reinforced knees, a long-sleeved shirt of the sort you'd find at REI -- a tight black number with moisture wicking akshun -- with his vaguely military-issue black sweater. He could be cosplaying as The Sorrow.
-- Heavy-duty, black boots. Well broken-in, but meticulously shined, oiled, etc. Waterproof to an extent. Blades are imbedded in the soles, which eject through the toe when a mechanism is activated.
-- His hood. (DUH.) Fingerless gloves, also from the Junkyard.
-- A belt fitted with clip...holder...things; a small tactical fanny pack; and a knife sheath.
-- Pockets contain: a lockpick, the fantastic strawberry Ika gave him, a small flashlight, one of Vic's ties rolled up with a bag of tea or two, a PINpoint.
-- Stuff picked up from Eiko's goodie boxes -- earpiece, health monitor, several vials of the antivirus (he might need it if he decides to feed on any of the mutants).
Otherwise, yeah, he packs light. In the Junkyard, you gain some sense of efficiency. What you don't have, you procure on site. No change of clothes. Only one gun. You make bullets count.
