Today is a VERY Good Day!
Omg!! Today so many great things happened! Actually, rethinking things, some not so cool things happened too, but I’ve more or less forgotten all that... =)
Anyway, so, first I had 3 free periods, meaning I had only 3 classes, and that was probably the last time that will ever happen to me in high school because of something even more superbly amazing:
I GOT INTO OCTET!!!
Ok, and most of you people are probably wondering what Octet is, right? Well, it’s my school’s select 10-person singing group (called “octet” by tradition, though, since it was originally only 8 people) and I’ve been trying for this since freshman year, and I actually had a chance last year, but there were only 3 openings, so a senior beat me out...but this year I’m a senior, there were 5 openings, and not to boast but I’m pretty good at singing, so I got in!! Again, not to brag, but I really expected it (just ‘cause I had so much going for me) and I basically guessed 3 of the other 4 new people too. Anyway, even though I expected it, people tell me that when my name was announced I was smiling really big and that I just didn’t stop. Olivia, my octet “mentor” (who’s actually a year younger than me) said I was just glowing. I’m glad she’s my mentor ‘cause she’s really nice and we’re kind of friends, but I’m pretty good friends with most of the returning members too.
Anyway, on top of all that, something else really cool (but after the excitement of Octet, not quite as thrilling)...
THE WIRELESS NETWORK WORKS NOW!!!
Yes, very cool. Also means my job in the tech office will be very busy, especially now with one less free period, but still! WIRELESS! For the first time in SBS history I (and any other students...as soon as they get their user accounts) can (and am) sit(ing) in my dorm room and access the internet! This is so cool! =D
In short, as the title says, this was a VERY good day! =D
also...since I've been ignoring LJ...before I forget...ASHNEE AND WHIT! I MISS YOU GUYS SO MUCH! Come live in my closet, k? I promise to let you sleep in my extra bed after check ins! lol...
