She can't stand being in the house for too long right now, anxious and worried and annoyed that the last time she was taken, Ion had been able to charge right in and rescue her. Now that it's his turn, she can't do a thing. How is that fair?]

[After everything that's been occurring lately - from Nephry's near death experience from the previous draft to Ion's stealthy kidnapping - Dist's taken it upon himself to finally start working on a small handheld weapon to carry on him. Nothing fancy, but he's managed to complete a fontech gun at last, and was just about to go and test it in the battledome when Anise and her monstrous doll come bulldozing over.]

[He growls, and - perhaps in his irritation - doesn't realize he's actually accepting her small hand as he gets up, dusting off snow from his clothes. Honestly, he just got this new coat a few weeks ago! Sure, he didn't pay for it, but still!]

Oops indeed... What in the world are you doing, Anise, running around on your doll like that in such a hurry? [Searching around for the fontech gun he dropped, he plucks it from the snow and sighs. She better not have ruined it!] I have a second mind to disable its growth mechanism, if you're just going to plow into people carelessly.

[she takes a step back soon as he's up and steady, scowling. Well, scowling, but looking him over carefully to ensure he's not hurt or anything.]

[He looks fine, really cockroach just a bit scandalized and disgruntled, but that's not anything too different from normal. Dist casts a long sideways glance at Anise, raising a brow at her.]

[Dist rolls his eyes, checking his glasses to make sure they weren't scratched or cracked anywhere. He gave Anise another long, hard look, but decided to be subtle this time around.]

...I see. Well, then, may I join you if you're not busy? I could use the fresh air myself, really, and I suppose I can wait to test my newest creation. Besides... [Dist ruffles the girl's hair with a smirk.] ...you and I really do need to catch up, I think.

[Honestly, if the girl just told the truth, he may have let her be on her way. He would have scolded her for being so gung ho about it and to make sure she didn't run anyone else over, but...he may have been a bit more sympathetic.

Narrowing her eyes at Anise's abrasive attitude, Dist begins to think. Well, if she's "busy" and "out for a walk" that could mean a number of things. Dist closes his eyes, beginning to sort things out. She could be telling the truth, but Dist honestly doubted that, with how she was acting. She could also be meeting with someone, going out somewhere, or...looking for someone. So that was it. Really, though, she didn't have to be so secretive about it... Silly girl.]

Yes, I suppose you do... Inform me if you find the Fon Master, I'd like to make sure he's in good health when he's returned.

[And Dist turns to leave now. If Anise wants to catch him, that's her business.]
