[Nephry is on her way home from Good Spirits - later than usual, but she got into a conversation and, well, it's impolite to just get up and leave - and at first just sort of brushes over Anise. She's been seeing shadows of things all day.]

[galddigger]

[What were you doing at the bar, Nephry? And Anise - who has had a terrible return-from-kidnapping!day - looks more than relieved to see a familiar face. She walks right over.]

Nephry!

[and here's the double take. She just catches herself before saying something along the lines of 'Oh, you're real.']

Anise? [well, obviously] Anise! Are you all right?

[galddigger]

I'm fine; just way tired. I've been walking forever! [She knows she's whining. She doesn't care.]

[offallingsnow]

You've been gone for so long...

[galddigger]

[She shifts her weight from one foot to the other, and sighs. She may not be bleeding from any gaping wounds, but she does look completely exhausted.] It felt like I was gone forever. How long's it been, anyway?

[offallingsnow]

More than a month. ...We should get you home.

[galddigger]

Home... [when did they start calling that place home? Still, Anise smiles.] Home sounds good.

[the color Nephry turns should prove she slipped up there. It's probably because of all these sudden...strange memories she's been having. Seeing. Hearing.]

Are you hurt?

[galddigger]

[There's a shake of the head. There are a few scratches and shallow cuts, but that's mostly from her late-night trek through the woods to get to the village.]

I'm okay. They didn't get me very much this time, but Tokunaga... [she tightens her grip on the doll in her arms. Well, what's left of it, anyway.]

[offallingsnow]

I'm sure Saphir will be able to repair him. [because fixing the fontech parts is beyond her]

[have a reassuring smile and a hand on your back to help you along]

[galddigger]

He better! If Tokunaga doesn't get fixed, I don't know what I'd do.

[She stumbles only a little at that. But she's missed Nephry's reassuring smiles, so it lifts her spirits a little. Have a smile right back, then!]

[thinking her hand caused Anise to stumble, she moves it away again. Better not knock the girl over.]

[That's fine. Anise appreciates the help, but at the same time she's kind of stubborn in the I-don't-need-help department.]

[on the way back to the house, she'll let Anise do any of the talking]

[Anise happens to be good at rambling, so.]

I just can't wait to get home. Making the trip back through the forest gets really old, and it would've been a lot easier if they hadn't beat Tokunaga up. [sigh] Stupid Malnosso being stupid...
