[Thanks to a certain vampire with vanity issues - and a handy POV gun - Anise has been pretty much been given a makeover by Rose and Shiki. Now that it's finished, she's walking through town on her way back home, feeling a little self-conscious without her familiar ponytails bouncing behind her.]

[Because Ruto totally going in town to shop right now for things to ward off crabs she passes this girl here... and over-hears that. She glances briefly with her frontal eyes, but then Ruto as a Zora kinda stands out enough that even the fact she has the tact not the stare longer than a moment probably attracts attention.]

[Hoshi what is that thing. D: But Anise will try to be polite, yes.]

Um. Did you need something?

[The girl made note of her? Ruto blushes lightly before calming herself into diplomatic mode, revolving to make her spying on people more covert in future]

You were merely speaking to yourself. It drew my attention.

Oh. Ha, I do that sometimes, yeah. Oops.

But it's just - it feels a little weird. [sighs]

[And now to face her more properly. Ruto has been talking to her with her frontal eyes seemingly viewing her out of the corner of her eye, but she had seen Anise perfectly with those side-eyes. Still most humans don't seem to get that so politeness takes over and all...]

What feels weird?

Um - I don't usually wear my hair like this, see? [swish swish] It's normally up in two ponytails, like - [gestures with her hands, but doesn't actually touch her hair since fff that'll just ruin the 'do. :\].

[Ruto is a Zora. Zora do not have hair. She is used to hair and such but she is in no way used to the idea of changing how you have your hair. It doesn't help that Link wouldn't know how to style to save his life, Sheik would even less, Saria keeps tings simple, Impa doesn't have a lot, Nabooru keeps it out of her face and not much else, Rauru is balding, and Zelda keeps it just plain straight.

THUS, tl;dr, RUTO DOES NOT GET IT. Instead, she tries to pretend she does]

And why the change?

This lady I met convinced me that I needed a makeover! [sighs] It's a good thing my friend Shiki was in on it, too! At least I still look okay~

I must say that for a member of the human tribe you look like quite the charming young lady. [An approving nod. Not as cute as Saria, of course, but Saria's a Koriki]
